Supporting the CF Trust

If you’ve seen the Welcome page of my website, you might have noticed the appearance of a new logo, that of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. CF is a disease that blights and curtails bright lives, and although treatment has improved greatly over the years, there is still no cure. My personal connection comes through my sister, Sarah, who fought CF tooth and nail throughout her life, when treatment wasn’t as effective as it is now. Sarah spent a number of years waiting for a lung transplant, which might have helped to extend her life, before succumbing to the disease in 2007. I never stop missing her and wish she was still here to see some of the pictures I take now, because I know she’d be proud.

My partner’s nephew also has CF. He’s a bright, energetic 10-year-old with a great future and treatment that in many ways is light years ahead of what Sarah had at the same age. He has a long and relatively healthy life ahead, due in no small part to the work of the CF Trust.

So really it’s an easy thing to donate money from the sale of any prints, in addition to the monthly donation I’ve been making for many years now. If you see a picture on my website and do make a purchase, you can rest assured that part of the sale is going to a wonderful cause.
