The Tipping Point

Thousands of photographers will have reached this point: people - the public - showing an increasing interest in social media posts, “liking” images, commenting positively. All of which raises the question, “If they like this, can I take it further? Is it time for a website?”

Well, now is the time for me, and the tipping point has been an image of the Garry River at Killiecrankie (see Rivers, Lakes and Falls and the current Featured image) that I posted initially on Instagram, and then on Facebook. As I write this, the “likes”, shares are comments are still piling-up: thousands of them.

But it’s quite a step from posting occasional images that just hit the mark, to putting a website together and maintaining the quality. That’s my task now, and I hope you’ll want to follow my progress. Not everything will work, not every image will quite hit the mark, but some will hopefully resonate like the Garry River has.

I hope you might want to follow my progress, bookmark this website, and maybe buy a print if, for you, I just get it right.

Thanks for viewing and reading.
